River Trip to Lymington
On Tuesday 15th of May year 5 went on a trip to a river down in the New Forest called Lymington river. We started at the source of the river called Silver Stream, along the way we saw lots of creatures including ponys and foals!Next we measured depth, width, and the flow of the river!
The next stop was the middle course in Brockenhurst. We had to cross a busy road and trample through a mini flood to get there! When we did get there we were not aloud to get too close to the edge because the side of the river was hanging over the side like a cliff, it was a good example of erosion. Next we went off to the sea to see the river come out into it. There was alot to see including a sea water swimming pool. It was really fun!
After a long trip, many pupils fell asleep on the way back including me. It was a very tiering day!
