Monday 1st October 2012 – Flowers & BrainPop

In our science work this half term, we are learning about the life cycle of plants.  Today, we were learning about the different parts of a flower and how they are used in pollinisation.

We did this by observing and sketching some flowers, and we also watched a video made by Tim and Moby at BrainPop.  We sent a tweet to tell BrainPop that we were using them, and they sent us a reply:

“We would love to see any sketches you’d like to share with Tim & Moby. He has flowers for you too.”

Here are some of our sketches – hope you like them, Moby and Tim!

  1. WOW, your drawings are fantastic! You have worked so hard to ensure your drawings are detailed. Well done!

  2. Those are VERY impressive flower sketches. I love the detail you have included in each picture. Did you have flowers in front of you when you were doing this? How fantastic that Brain Pop was interested in your own drawings. Did they get to see some of your work?
